Week 98

"I have a testimony that we are God's children, that He knows and loves each one of us individually. I have felt His love for my brothers and sisters so abundantly these past few weeks and I recognize that this work to which I am called is so sacred and wonderful."

Me with Sister Josephine.

Hey Everyone,

This week has been pretty wild. Elder Alvarado and I worked extremely hard this week. We even pushed Enoch and his family's baptism forward a week.

We met some terrific new people, like Nokwanda, who are searching for guidance in their lives and humbly look to the Lord for said guidance. We see a lot of success in the future weeks and months here in Sidwashini.

The Mission tour and/or Zone Conference with Elder and Sister Palmer was super good. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting one of our Area Seventy and his wife. I am so excited for the work.

There are some photos of me with some members. We should have had a baptism this week but the Branch President cancelled it. I was more than upset but the important thing is that there is always next week.

I bought a bunch of chocolate and candies for the members because the Branch President also cancelled the American BBQ that the missionaries had planned. So many people showed up and were upset to see that the activity was cancelled earlier that morning. I wanted to give them something to help them feel less disappointed.

I love the branch so much. I love the people that we are teaching even more. This will definitely be my favorite area in Swaziland and one of my favorites of my whole mission.

I would just like to end with my testimony:

I know that God lives and that He loves me. Jesus Christ loves me, so much that He died for me, and suffered for me. Missionary work has blessed my life in so many ways I cannot even begin to thank the Lord for the blessings that He has so graciously poured out upon me. I have a testimony that we are God's children, that He knows and loves each one of us individually. I have felt His love for my brothers and sisters so abundantly these past few weeks and I recognize that this work to which I am called is so sacred and wonderful.

I testify of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, it is real and it brings us happiness when we make the effort to change. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and it contains inspired truths that bring us to Christ and His Atonement. I testify that the church has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and that Thomas S. Monson guides us and helps us follow our Savior and Redeemer.

I feel my Savior's love and that is one thing I have learned to cherish more than anything. It is more addictive than any drug or substance. It can consume us and make us whole. I know God loves me and He has a plan for me. And I know His plan is perfect. I testify of these things. And this is but a small portion of my testimony that has grown over these past two years. I leave these things with you, in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Love you all,

Elder Nimmo

She's such a sweet woman.
